Types of Dog Brushes

As our hair needs brushing animals too needs brushing. Brushing is an important grooming practice that holds a lot of importance and must be done on daily basis. The hair acts as a coat over the skin and if it is not brushed regularly then it will open gateway to skin problems. So, the significance of brushing cannot be overlooked. Brushing technique varies with the type of coat and hair type. There are other reasons and factors that can affect the brushing technique            but as an owner you must know how to brush your dog and what type of dog brush should be used.  Here are the list of four common dog brushes which varies with coat and breed.

1.     Wire-pin brush- This dog brush has a pin like structure which has rubber tips which reduces corrosive impact. This dog brush is used to cleanse insects attached to dog hair.

2.     Slicker Brushes – These rectangle headed dog brush is typically used to shrug off mats or any knot and will work on every type of canine with thick hairy coat. Its chief use is to detangle mats.

3.     Household Dog Hair Removing Brush- These brushes can work as bristles, wire-pin, sticky paper, flexible rubber etc. This dog brush is primarily used to pick up dog hair from anywhere and can be attached to the vacuum cleaners in order to clean house and wipeout stray hairs. The dog brush is a general purpose hair and works accordingly.

4.     Bristle Brushes- These brushes can have round or rectangular heads. The brushes have stiff bristles and are used to get rid of dog hair of any sort of coat. These brushes can be stiffer for curly hairs and wide spaced bristles for long fur dogs.
